Memoria Academy: FAQ: Which quizzes are open book and which are not?

I have received several questions regarding which quizzes are open book and which aren't. In some quizzes it says whether they are open or closed book, and in others it doesn't. We are in the process of making sure that all quizzes say whether they are or aren't.

In the meantime, here are the general rules for quizzes:

Generally speaking, the following kinds of quizzes are closed book

Vocabulary quizzes (matching or crossword)

Latin grammar tests (in most cases, however, see below)
Quizzes covering material that you have explicitly been told to memorize during the week

Generally speaking, the following quizzes are open book:

Logic quizzes (unless it says differently)
Latin translation quizzes
Quizzes that cover numbered exercises from the textbook (even if they are Latin grammar quizzes)
