We wanted to let those interested in our Online Classical Academy know that our History of Christian Thought Course is still open for the spring. Some parents had inquired about the course and had been told that it had been postponed until the fall. It is actually still open.

If you are interested in taking the course, please click here for a course description. You may also contact Scott Piland at scott@memoriapress.com. The History of Christian Thought is an in-depth look at the history of Christian thought from the inception of the Early Church through the present day.

This course has two foci: history and thought. The history of Christian thought is emphasized through the historical progression of Christian thinkers throughout the ages. As such, this course will place special emphasis upon the most influential thinkers throughout the history of Christian thought, especially during the Early Church, Middle Ages, and the Reformation and Counter-Reformation periods.

The History of Christian Thought is intended for mature students at the junior or senior level of high school, primarily for those students 16 years and older. Coverage of the major Christian thinkers throughout the last two millenia is included, with a special emphasis on the Early Church and Medieval Church. Thinkers include but are not limited to Ignatius of Antioch, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Tertullian, Athanasius, The Cappadocian Fathers, Saint Augustine, Saint Anselm, Saint Thomas, Martin Luther, as well as others! This course is a one-semester course and would begin on Thursday January 31st. Thank you for your interest in our programs.
